Erdem Zekeriya İskenderoğlu is the deputy mayor of Zeytinburnu. He was born in 1972 in Istanbul. He graduated from Marmara University Faculty of Education Public Relations Department in 1996. He has been working in Zeytinburnu Municipality as deputy mayor since 2014. He is working on Zeytinburnu International Photography Festival as Festival Director.
Born in Germany in 1970, he graduated Dokuz Eylül University Faculty of Economics Business Administration department. Started photography in 1986. In 1991 attended to work in Dokuz Eylül University Business Faculty Photography Club as a founder member. In 1992- 1993 he worked as a reporter in İzmir Office of Turkish Daily News paper. In 1993 he wrote and took photographs for the newspaper “Free Collegian” published by Dokuz Eylül University students. Between 2007-2015 he worked as executive editor in Photoworld magazine and training coordinator in Photoworld Photography Center. He worked as a photography editor in Skylife in-flight magazine of Turkish Airlines. He taught courses on basic and advanced photography in Kocaeli Fine Arts Faculty Photography Department, Photography Workshop, and many other training institutes. He also teaches film making and amateur video courses as well as photography to individual students and private institutes. Murat Gür is taking part in photography panels and seminars at present. He is one of the founders of Istanbul Photography Museum and he is on board of directors of Photography Friends Society. He is also the founder member of Turkish Photography Foundation. He has organized many seminars and exhibitions as a curator, also acts as organizer and jury member on some well known photo competitions.
Prof. Ozan Bilgiseren is working as a faculty member and vice head of Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University Photography Department. He was born in Adana in 1969. He’s giving lectures on portrait photography and contemporary art of photography. In 2010 his selected works were exhibited in Istanbul Fashion Academy, he has taught fashion photography at Yıldız Technical University Photography Department and digital photography at Doğuş University Communication Design Department. His articles were published in Photography Magazine, Photo Digital, PhotoWorld, F and Foto Atlas magazines. He had won many awards in photography contests, his works were exhibited many places both in Turkey and abroad. He was the curator of the retrospective “Respect To Ara Güler” exhibition in 2013 and “Respect to Yılmaz Kaini” exhibition. He has been curating the thematic exhibitions of the group “Dijital Obsküra” which he had founded with his students, in TÜYAP art fair since 2014. He is also the curator of the exhibition “Sürgün / Exile” in 2016 Photokina Leica which was supported by German photographers. He worked as the consultant for the photographs and video books published in National Geographic Turkey and also worked as visual consultant of the film “Kaybedenler Kulübü – Losers Club”. He has volunteered to undertake responsibility in many social responsibility projects and one of them was Aziz Sancar #gisproject. He personally takes part along with his students in different kind of photography projects to books with the sponsor institutes. He has organized and coordinated many projects and activities like Hürriyet Train (2008), TAV Tepe Akfen (2009) Şile Municipality and İstanbul Cultural Capital “Işığa Kavuşma Meeting the Light” (2010)
Born in Mecitözü Çorum in 1985, she started to study in Dokuz Eylül University Fine Arts Faculty Photography Department in 2004 and graduated in 2008 with dissertation titled “Meetings with the City”. She worked as a photojournalist for the newspaper Cumhuriyet in 2004-2005. In 2005 she worked as a photographer in the Universiade Summer Olympics. She taught basic and advanced photography courses in Photoworld Photography Center and Canon Visual Academy. She carried out workshops for children. She also worked on Photoworld magazine as editor. Her works are published in Atlas, Skylife, Anadolujet, and many other national and international magazines. Her professional fields of work are food architecture and lifestyle photography, She is also devising projects on lost cultures on earth and human nature. Born in 1961 in Isparta, he is married and has three children. He started taking photographs in 1998. He has mainly photographed Anatolian civilizations, architecture, landscape and people. He has traveled many parts of Turkey for photography. He has opened many personal exhibitions in Ankara, Bolu, Çorum, Konya, Safranbolu, Samsun, Sinop and Istanbul, presented slide shows and has participated in co exhibitions with other artists. His articles and photographs were published in Skylife, Anadolujet and İrfan Mektebi magazines. He has won many awards in photography contests. He has published an exhibition catalogue “Reflections of Anatolia “from his exhibit with the same name in 2002 and in 2005 a photo book called “Hasankeyf four seasons” of a two year project about Hasankeyf (a historical place in southeast Turkey). He has taken photographs for many prestige books. He is working as a freelance photographer, going on photo shoots both in Turkey and abroad. He is working as a photography instructor at Zeytinburnu Cultural Center and has been a jury member in many photo contests.
İsmail Küçük was born in Bitlis in 1962; he graduated Mimar Sinan Fine Arts Academy Graphics Department. He worked for many small advertising agencies as a designer and advertisement photographer. He has travelled to many parts of Turkey for work and has photographed the places he visited. He has taken more than 50000 photographs on various themes. İsmail Küçük’s photographs were published by Ministry of Tourism in posters and leaflets about Turkey. He has photographed an encyclopedia prepared by the Ministry of Culture. The artist has many photographs in private collections in Turkey and abroad. His photographs partake in many books and periodicals. He has won the first place in 1994 in İstanbul Metropolitan Municipality photo contest, first place in 1995 in Information Technologies Fair photo contest, first place in 1996 Sami Güner photo contest, honorable mention in 1997 Pendik Municipality photo contest. He is working on advertisement photography as well as carries working on photography and painting in his studio. He has opened seven personal exhibitions two of them in New York and one in Cairo. Küçük also acts as a member on many photography contests.
As a freelance photographer I am working since 2009 starting with the live performances. After that, the area of expertise has started to expand with portraits, still life images and travel. Graduated as a biologist I changed my mind and followed my dream job, photography. For two years I worked as Senior Photo Editor in several magazines. Along with cataloguing, editing and organizing images submitted by freelance photographers and locating field photographers I also hired and managed freelance photographers and help oversee associated budgets. I am very organized, motivated and as a photographer, I’m passionate about this line of work. It’s a great enjoy being part of a team and thrive in an environment that is collaborative.
Born in İstanbul in 1976 he graduated Gaziosmanpaşa University Office Management Program. He worked on corporate social responsibility projects like traffic safety, probation practices, reintegrating children targeted by terrorism to society, prevention of drug abuse and combating substance addiction. He became the vice president of International Social Media Association (USMED) in 2017. He is the founder of Arma Advertising firm operating in media communication, communication design and activity management.
Emre Küheylan started his professional photography career in Hamburg-based Gruppe28 Photo Agency. His articles and photographs have been published in various news, travel, culture and art magazines in many countries of the world. In the same years, he has interviewed with many local and foreign artists for the Boo! Magazine. His photographic works have been exhibited in various galleries and festivals in Italy, China, Singapore, the United Kingdom and the United States. In 2009, he started to work as PhotoWorld Magazine's Izmir Representative and interviewed with many famous photographers, including Steve McCurry and Stuart Franklin for the Magazine. He took part in the organizations of Randy Olson and Ron Haviv exhibitions held at Istanbul PhotoWorld Photography Center. He curated “Without Borders” themed screenings with the participation of 13 foreign photographers as part of “Our Life is Photography” Photo Festival held at Caddebostan Cultural Center. In 2011, Emre Küheylan founded the Artlica Agency, which represents more than 30 art photographers worldwide. The artists he has represented took part in many exhibitions and festivals such as the Istanbul Design Biennial. In the following years, he started Globalica, the editorial branch of the agency. Globalica represented Camera Press (United Kingdom), Agentur Focus (Germany), Anzenberger Agency (Austria) and Agence VU (France) in Turkey. From 2013, Artlica Agency started to organize the International Kontinent Photography Awards. In 3 years, thousands of photographers from more than 100 countries participated the Awards and it has become one of the World's most prestigious photography competitions. Jury members of the Awards include executives of the important press, photography and art institutions such as CNN, Time Magazine, Reuters, National Geographic Magazine, The Washington Post, The Independent, Vogue Italy, Christie's, Magnum Photos, Parsons and Royal Academy of Arts. Kontinent Awards is supported by more than 30 art and media organizations worldwide. Emre Küheylan is working as a lecturer at Izmir University of Economics since 2015. He is also the Vice Director of Vocational School and a member of the Society for Photographic Education (SPE).
